Brides of the South: The Sampradhaya Collection Unveiled by AVR Swarna Mahal

AVR Swarna Mahal unveiled its newest bridal jewellery collection—Sampradhaya—with a spectacular Heritage Ramp Walk, bringing to life the rich bridal traditions of South India. This elegant launch paid tribute to the unique wedding customs of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh & Karnataka, and Kerala—each represented through meticulously handcrafted gold jewellery inspired by temple art, heritage motifs, and timeless techniques.

The event was led by Managing Director Mr. A.B.S. Sanjjay, Joint Managing Director Ms. S. Soumya Sanjjay, Director Mr. A.V.R. Siddhanth, and Director Mr. A.V.R. Shree Smaran.

Tamil Bride: Legacy in Every Layer

Draped in radiant silk, the Tamil bride embodied divine elegance. Her jewellery—featuring oddiyanams, vankis, harams, and jhumkis—showcased intricate filigree work and temple-inspired detailing. Each piece told a story of devotion and heritage passed down through generations.

Telugu Bride: Gold That Tells a Story

The Telugu bride radiated royal charm in gold jewellery rich with nakshi and filigree work. Designs adorned with parrots, peacocks, and lotus motifs reflected Andhra’s golden legacy, blending opulence with cultural meaning.

Kannada Bride: Sculpted in Royalty

With inspiration drawn from the majestic temples of Belur and Halebidu, the Kannada bride's look celebrated Karnataka’s regal history. The jewellery echoed the architectural brilliance of the Hoysalas and the grace of Mysore queens—elegant, powerful, and timeless.

Kerala Bride: Grace in Gold

Clad in the iconic white and gold kasavu saree, the Kerala bride exuded serene beauty. Her look featured kasu malas, manga malais, nagapadam harams, and antique jhimkis—each piece paying homage to Kerala’s rich bridal traditions and spiritual essence.

Heritage Ramp Walk: Where Tradition Took Center Stage

The runway came alive with stories of South Indian bridal beauty, brought forth by the Sampradhaya Collection. With divine silhouettes, heritage jewellery, and cultural symbolism, the Heritage Ramp Walk was more than a fashion show—it was a celebration of identity, tradition, and craftsmanship.
